Kaname Date is a disgusting perverted 48 year old man who is the protagonist of AI: The Somnium Files and one of the main characters in the second game Nirvana Initiative. He is a Psyncer who is apart of ABIS at some police department in tokyo. He has an ai-ball named Aiba who acts as his partner for investigations and shows up as Date's avatar for psyncs. He LOVES porno mags and has a special power that activates whenever he see's one because he is weird. Despite him appearing as a well put together man during his investigations he is NOT well put together at all (obviously). He probably has mental illness but he's 48 and has a job There is no time for that. Despite my undying and burning hatred for him Kaname Date is near and dear to my heart. He has changed my life forever and has probably saved my life i just don't know it yet. I don't remember my first impression of him because when i played aitsf i took like a two year break from it after i started getting to the more serious parts for some reason so when i picked it up again there wasn't much of him just doing stuff. i DID play all of aini in one go so whenever date was on screen i loved him a little bit more than before ♥

UNFORTUNATELY i have no cool things to say about stuff he did in the story but if i dig around in my brain i CAN say that he is a Kind man with a Kind heart even if he's the biggest pervert alive.

Some of Date's interest include Porno mags, Vintage Magazines, and Collecting Odoroki-man Chocolate stickers which i think is really cute since he picked it up from mizuki when he first took her in it's like a memento of their past or whatever♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and SPEAKING of his relationship with mizuki... i think they are SO cute. i dont remember if much is said about their past together but they are so father-and-daughtercore... so familypilled... it brings tears to my eyes. date picking up her sticker collecting hobby and mizuki picking up his knowledge about kinks is just beautiful.

and SPEAKING of dates relationships i think his relationship with ryuki is Beautiful♥♥ Ryuki is my #SPIRIT animal so i know that Ryuki has DEEP, UNDYING, ROMANTIC feelings for Date. Date is there for ryuki when he messes up during work and gives him advice even if its only when they drink together and i think the way ryuki looks up to date is really cute Ryuki is really cute #tbh he always goes "Mr. Date!" like a puppy during iris's somnium in aini he's like "if he's with us we wont have to worry about a thing!" and it really shows how Ryuki trusts and looks up to him as his superior. not to mention the INTIMATE PHYSICAL relationship they have. even if date say's it isn't sexual an intimate physical relationship is still pretty homosexual like #TBH......... Date care's about ryuki a lot he is one of the main people to help ryuki get out of his depression and gets upset about his assumed death unless he knew ryuki was alive in the hospital but it doesn't matter because he was still #mourning
